Student Charged with Putting Hash Oil In Brownies

Salvador Palacios, 18, is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond at California’s Glenn County Jail after being charged with food poisoning and child endangerment.

Palacios is accused of putting hash oil in another student’s brownie.  The 15-year-old female victim became dizzy and was taken to a hospital where she was treated for about five hours before being released.

Palacios and the victim are both students are Willows High School.  He was taken into custody by the Willows Police Department at about 3:45 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 27).   He was booked into the county jail, where he will remain until posting bond.

The young woman did not know the brownie was contaminated.  The police investigation found that several other students ate brownies allegedly contaminated by Palacios and went home after becoming ill.

The accused is a senior at Willows High School.
