The Food Safety News report posted Aug. 18, 2014, about a recent Food and Drug Administration warning letter concerning Dr. Bronner’s Magic “All-One!” Fresh Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil was incorrect in that the FDA letter did not say that the product contained trans fat, but rather that the product did not have a required statement about the amount of trans fat in the nutrition facts label. Since receiving the FDA warning letter, the company says it has included that amount — which is zero — in its labeling for the product. Furthermore, FDA did not allege misbranding in the warning letter. Food Safety News regrets the errors.
