This recall was triggered by a recall by Andrew and Williamson Fresh Produce (“A&W”) of San Diego, CA, and may be associated with a Salmonella outbreak in the United States. A&W recalled its Limited Edition® label cucumbers sold during the period from Aug. 1, 2015, through Sept. 3, 2015, because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. CFIA stated that it is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, CFIA said it will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings. CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace. CFIA also stated that it not aware of any reported illnesses in Canada associated with the consumption of these products.
