Ecomax Nutrition is recalling Go Raw brand Organic Spicy Seed Mix from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination. There have not been reports of the product being recalled in the U.S. The recalled Organic Spicy Seed Mix comes in 454-gram bags (about 1 pound) bearing the UPC 8 59888 00040 0 and an “Enjoy Before” date of May 12, 2015. This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results. CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings. No illnesses have been reported in association with the product. However, due to the time required to trace an illness back to a specific food source, it is impossible to say whether or not anyone has been sickened. CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace.
