Natura Recalls Several Pet Food Brands Over Salmonella Risk

Published:

Natura Pet Products has voluntarily recalled selected lots of four different dry pet food brands due to potential Salmonella contamination.  Select bags of California Natural, EVO, Innova and HealthWise pet foods have all been subject to recall. Check the link on each of the brand names for a detailed information sheet on specific recalled products, including bag size, UPC code and lot codes for each affected product.  The contamination was detected in one pet food bag during routine testing by the Michigan Department of Agriculture.  Humans may contract Salmonella by handling contaminated pet food or interacting with infected animals.  Pets infected with Salmonella may exhibit symptoms such as lethargy, diarrhea or vomiting.
