OFPA hosts annual food safety symposium in Ontario

The Ontario Food Protection Association has scheduled its annual Fall Food Safety Symposium and Annual General Meeting on Nov. 18, at the Embassy Grand Convention Centre in Brampton, ON.

The association provides its members with information on current and emerging food safety issues. This meeting will feature speakers, workshops and panels that present timely information on industry issues.

Attendees can also exhibit and sponsor this event to build awareness of their products and services along with the unique opportunity to network and share ideas with industry peers.

The conference can be attended in person or virtually.

Global Food Safety Initiative scheme owners will attend the event, including SQF Institute, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, GLOBAL G.A.P. c/o FoodPLUS GmbH, IFS – International Featured Standards and CanadaGAP.

The association has assembled a panel of industry experts to discuss label claims including, COR- Kashruth Council of Canada, The Big Carrot Natural Food Market, Evaluations English Canada, the Canadian Celiac Association and the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America.

According to the association, this year’s Fall Food Safety Symposium should be the largest in its history
