The Rhode Island Department of Health has warned Target customers not to eat certain deli salad items under the Market Pantry and Archer Farms brand names, as they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall was initiated because the products were made with chopped onions processed by Gill’s Onionsthat were recalled last month because a sample tested positive for Listeria. The manufacturer, Garden-Fresh Foods, has already issued recalls for other items containing the contaminated onions. No illnesses have been linked to this recall.
