Raw Goat Milk Recalled in Washington for E. Coli

Published:

A Washington state dairy, the Laughing Goat, is recalling its Grade A raw goat milk due to potential E. coli contamination.  The recalled milk was sold in pint, quart, and half-gallon plastic containers with green caps bearing best-by dates between Feb. 11 and Feb. 19. The milk was sold at retail locations in Washington’s Thurston, Pierce, Lewis and King counties.  The contamination was discovered via routine monthly pathogen testing by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.  No illnesses have been reported. However, due to the time involved with tracing an illness back to a specific food product, it is impossible to say whether or not illnesses have occurred.
