Two Canadian Recalls: Stuffed Eggplants and Mixed Nuts

Osmat Imports has voluntarily recalled its Stuffed Eggplants due to potential contamination of Clostridium botulinum, the bacteria the causes botulism. The products were sold in 2 kg jars bearing the UPC 8 37770 00009 7 and Best Before: Lot 6 EXP JA 14. The products were distributed in Alberta and British Columbia.  Trophy Foods Inc. has expanded its recall of hazelnuts in shells to include its Trophy brand Nut Mix in Shell product due to potential contamination of Salmonella. This product has been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and may have been distributed to other provinces.
