Popcorn Palace of Schiller Park, IL, warned consumers Tuesday that some of its one-gallon Value Bags contain various allergens — milk, soy, peanuts, tree nuts and wheat — not disclosed on the packaging.

The omission was discovered for popcorn products that would have been purchased after Oct. 1, 2011 through some of the company’s fundraising programs.

No adverse reactions have been reported. The products are safe for anyone without allergies to consume.

But people with allergies to some of the following ingredients run a risk of serious or potential life-threatening reactions:

– Cheddar Cheese, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy)

– White Cheddar, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy)

– Chicago Style, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy)

– Gourmet Caramel, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy)

– Rainbow, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains soy)

– Caramel Nut, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy, peanuts, tree nuts (almonds, -cashews))

– Chocolate Drizzle Caramel, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy)

– Macadamia Butter Crunch, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy, macadamia nuts)

– Cookies & Cream, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy, wheat)

– Spicy Cheese, 1-Gallon Value Bag (contains milk, soy, wheat)

The company said the omission has now been corrected with updated packaging that includes nutrition facts, ingredients, and allergens listed on every item.
