FDA Revamps Online Food Safety Resources

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is offering more resources online to aid the food industry and other stakeholders in the implementation of the new food Food Safety Modernization Act.

Those interested in more information about the new law can find a clearinghouse of online resources here.

The portal includes a wealth of links to speeches and statements, videos, webinars, and videos as well as calendars for meetings, public hearings and workshops related to the new food safety law.

The agency has also posted the full text of the law and responses to Frequently Asked Questions.

Key documents and information sheets are posted in eleven different languages from French to Chinese to Portuguese.

Anyone interested can sign up here to receive email updates anytime the agency posts information on the new law.
