Brooklyn’s Domega NY International Co. Ltd. has recalled FUMA CUSTARD PIE because it may contain undeclared eggs.
Consumers who are allergic to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The recalled FUMA CUSTARD PIE is packaged in a 650 gram cardboard box containing 26 individual packages, with a date code of 2010 02 04AA. It was sold in New York State. It is a product of China.
New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by food laboratory personnel revealed the presence of undeclared eggs in FUMA CUSTARD PIE in a package that did not declare eggs as an ingredient on the label initiated the recall after routine sampling.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with this problem.
