How to Keep Your Focus on Food Safety

Published:

Printed in the June/July 2005 issue of Food Safety Magazine, “How to Keep Your Focus on Food Safety” was written about the food industry’s reaction to claims of foodborne illness after the “discovery” of a finger in a bowl of Wendy’s chili, which was later found to have been placed in the chili by the woman who “found” it.

“If a claim has merit, treat the customer fairly and learn from your error. This will help you keep your eye on your bottom line as opposed to looking for the finger in the chili.”
