Ice cream recalled because of metal pieces

Stewart’s Shops Corp. of Saratoga Springs, NY is recalling two flavors, Heavenly Medley and Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry, of half-gallon ice cream because of the potential presence of metal.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after a metal object was discovered by a consumer in a half-gallon carton of ice cream.,

The following products are subject to recall and were sold at all Stewart’s Shops locations in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire between July 17 and Oct. 2:
