National Food Policy Conference May 17-18 in Washington, DC

The 35th Annual National Food Policy Conference, organized by Consumer Federation of America, will take place May 17-18 in Washington, DC. Food policy experts and stakeholders from consumer groups, the food industry and the federal government will debate and discuss an

array of key food safety, nutrition, and agriculture issues.

In addition, FDA Deputy Commissioner for Foods Mike Taylor will provide an update on the Food Safety Modernization Act; USDA Under Secretary for Food and Nutrition Services Kevin Concannon and Director of the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity at the CDC William Dietz will provide updates on nutrition initiatives and priorities; and USDA Under Secretary for Research, Education and Economics Catherine Woteki will discuss research priorities for food safety, nutrition and agriculture.

Online registration  has closed, but on-site registration will be available the day of the conference.
