Allergen Alert: Spinach Quiche With Pine Nuts

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Whole Foods Market Inc. are warning people with allergies to pine nuts not to eat certain quiche mislabeled as Spinach Mushroom, because the quiche is actually Spinach Pine Nut.

Because of the labeling error, pine nuts are not listed as an ingredient.

There have been no reported allergic reactions.

Whole Foods is recalling the incorrectly labeled 280 g quiche, which has the UPC 0275184 316999. The quiche was sold from March 1 to 5, 2012 at the Whole Foods Market, Cambie Store, 510 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia.
