This week’s Enforcement Report from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration first had us wondering if the recall of products with Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) ingredients will ever end.  The recall of PCA products began Jan. 28TH.

Salmonella contamination at PCA plants in Blakely, GA and Plainview, TX caused illness and death across the country, bankrupted the Virginia company, and led to recalls of about 4,000 products made with its peanut butter or paste.

This week’s report, however, is filled with food manufacturers reporting to FDA that they’ve completed their recall of products containing PCA ingredients.  With that explanation, here’s the summary of the food cases reported by FDA in its Enforcement Report for Sept. 16, 2009.
