Certain Whole Foods Market stores in the Mid-Atlantic region are voluntarily recalling batches of chocolate croissants because the product contains eggs and the ingredient was not declared on the product packaging.

Dreamstime_Whole_Foods_406x250People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

This recall only applies to Whole Foods Market stores in the company’s Mid-Atlantic region, which includes 51 stores located throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Kentucky, New Jersey, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
