Complaints up but unsafe food alerts not rising, says Lithuanian agency

There has been an increase in reports by consumers of potential violations involving food, according to Lithuania’s food agency.
From January to August 2025, the State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) received 2,311 notifications, while this year there were 2,639.
