Alert issued by officials in Hong Kong about formaldehyde in rice noodles

Authorities in Hong Kong have issued a warning about a brand of imported rice noodles because of formaldehyde.

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said a pre-packaged rice vermicelli sample from Taiwan contained trace amounts of formaldehyde.
