Amnesty International has urged the Indonesian government to suspend its school meals program following more reports of food poisoning.

In January 2025, the government launched a Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program to improve nutrition and health for millions of people. However, the plan has been blighted by illness reports among schoolchildren.
