Ten Latin American countries are taking part in a project to strengthen their national food safety systems through risk analysis, with one of the leading entities being a U.S. university
The effort is led by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the University of Minnesota. The Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) is providing financial support.
It includes Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
