Poultry firm reveals Salmonella contamination cost

A poultry company in England has disclosed how a Salmonella contamination incident will likely cost it £2.1 million ($2.8 million).  

Between March 23 and April 10 this year, there was Salmonella contamination in Joice and Hill Poultry’s hatchery and the site was closed from April 13 to 27. Deliveries were suspended and compensation paid to customers.
