Food incident levels stable in Hong Kong in 2025

Microbial and chemical hazards dominated food incidents possibly affecting Hong Kong in 2025, according to a new report from the Centre for Food Safety (CFS).

The Food Incident Surveillance System (FISS) monitors issues outside Hong Kong that potentially affect domestic food safety.

In 2025, CFS detected 5,300 incidents through FISS, which was the same as in 2024.
