Vita-Warehouse Corp. recalls vitamin B12 gummy products for undeclared peanut allergen

Vita-Warehouse Corp. recalls vitamin B12 gummy products for undeclared peanut allergen

Vita-Warehouse Corp. of Vista, CA, is recalling one lot of Welby Vitamin B12 Energy Support 1000 mcg 140 Gummies, Berkley Jensen Vitamin B12 1000 mcg 250 Gummies, and VitaGlobe Vitamin B12 Extra Strength 60 Gummies because of the potential presence of undeclared peanuts. This poses a serious or life-threatening risk to individuals with peanut allergies or severe sensitivities.

The recall was initiated after routine testing by ALDI revealed the potential presence of peanuts in the products, despite a “does not contain peanuts” claim on the labeling. Although Vita-Warehouse Corp.’s internal testing found no peanuts, the recall was issued out of an abundance of caution to ensure consumer safety.

Recalled products:

Welby Vitamin B12 Energy Support 1000 mcg 140 Gummies

Berkley Jensen Vitamin B12 1000 mcg 250 Gummies

Lot code and expiration date are printed on the bottom of the bottle.

No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported as of the posting of this recall.

Consumers with peanut allergies are urged not to consume these products and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them immediately.

About peanut allergies
Peanut allergies can cause symptoms ranging from mild reactions, such as hives or digestive discomfort, to anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially fatal condition requiring immediate medical attention. Individuals experiencing adverse reactions should seek medical care promptly.
