Royal Gourmet is recalling 18 varieties of hummus products because they contain undeclared peanuts.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the recalled products were distributed in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia and may have been distributed elsewhere.

People with sensitivities or allergies to peanuts should not consume the products because they could have a life-threatening reaction.

The recall was issued after testing by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency revealed the presence of peanuts in the products.
