The products bear establishment number “Canada Est. 348” and UPC number 064563225782. This item was shipped to retail locations in the United States nationwide and can be found at retailers such as Kroger, Wal-Mart and Safeway. The problem was discovered when a consumer from the United States complained to Maxi Canada Inc. about a foreign object in the product. Maxi Canada Inc. initiated a recall on March 5 and CFIA subsequently notified FSIS.
