Oregon Freeze Dry Recalls Sliced Fruit Due to Salmonella Concerns

Oregon Freeze Dry, Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of certain products sold to Costco due to a possible health concern.

The product can be identified by the package information as follows:  Product Name: Kirkland Signature Real Sliced Fruit ITEM: 527069 Best By Date: February 14, 2015-March 11, 2015  The recalled products may be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism that can cause serious infections in young children, frail or elderly people and those with weakened immune systems.  Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.  If you have this specific product, please do not consume it.  Return it immediately to your local Costco for a full refund.
