A single Whole Foods Market store in Seattle is recalling prepackaged fresh kale due to possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. The store is the Roosevelt Square location at 1026 NE 64th St. The product was sold in rectangular plastic calmshells labeled Whole Foods Market Kales Mixed OG (Organic), PLU 0258622, with packed-on dates of 9/15/13 through 9/20/13. The problem was detected during routine testing by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. No illnesses have been reported in connection to this recall.
