Allergen Alert: Coconut Candy With Milk

Fung Shing International Corp. of Maspeth, NY, is recalling Star Light Coconut Candy because it contains milk not declared on the label.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume products with milk. Such products are safe for people without allergies or sensitivities to milk.

No adverse reactions have been reported to date in connection with the coconut candy.

Routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food inspectors and subsequent lab analysis revealed the presence of milk in the product.

The recall Star Light Coconut Candy Keo Dua, imported from Vietnam, comes in a 7 oz. plastic dish with the a UPC Code 8936015503088. The recalled candy was sold in New York and Ohio.

Star Light Coconut Candy Keo Dua may be returned to the place of purchase.
