Allergen Alert: Cookies With Milk

Topnotch Cookies & Cakes of Westland, MI is recalling certain chocolate chip cookies because they may contain undeclared traces of milk, an allergen, in the butter and vanilla flavoring.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the supplier of the flavoring had added milk product, which was not listed among the ingredients.

The problem has been corrected.

No adverse reactions have been reported.

Each recalled net wt. 3.4 oz. 550 Chocolate Chip Chunk Cookie is individually labeled and packaged in clear wrap; the expiration date is on or before April 13, 2012.
  
The recalled cookies were distributed in Detroit and Lansing, MI; Cleveland, OH; and Chicago, IL to retail stores.
