Allergen Alert: Almonds in Cereal

Krasdale Foods of White Plains, NY is recalling Krasdale Crispy Honey Oats and Flakes because it may contain undeclared almonds.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the product may contain almonds in packaging that did not reveal the presence of almonds

No illnesses have been reported. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

Krasdale Crispy Honey Oats and Flakes were distributed to independent retailers, C-Town Supermarkets and Bravo Supermarkets in NY, CT, NJ, PA, RI and MA.

The recalled Krasdale Crispy Honey Oats and Flakes were sold in a 14.5 oz. cardboard box with a best-if-used by date of “SEP 20 12 P4” on the top of the box.

Consumers may return the cereal to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information contact the company at 1-800-378-5727 ext. 5302, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
