U.S. CDC helps Moldova combat Salmonella rise

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has revealed how it helped Moldova tackle a rise in Salmonella infections in 2025.
According to the CDC, it was the first time Moldova had used whole genome sequencing (WGS) in the field to investigate a Salmonella outbreak.
