‘Moderate’ risk in cereulide infant formula incident, says WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) has said the public health risk in the infant formula cereulide contamination incident is “moderate.”

This assessment was reached because of the vulnerability of the affected infant population, global distribution of contaminated products, uncertainty on the full extent of exposure, and gaps in case detection and root cause information.
