Longer shelf life for Norwegian eggs doesn’t pose safety issue

Norwegian eggs can have a longer shelf life than European eggs without compromising safety, according to an assessment.

The Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food and Environment (VKM) concluded that a 35-day shelf life is safe and justified, provided the cold chain is maintained.
