Man sentenced for faking Salmonella results

A poultry keeper in England has been sentenced for forging Salmonella test results.

Investigations by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) led to the sentencing of Jeremy Saunders of Orchard Organic Farm, Newton Abbot.

At a hearing at Exeter Crown Court in October, Saunders pleaded guilty to one count of perverting the course of justice after providing false Salmonella results following an audit by the APHA Egg Marketing Team for the UK National Control Program for Salmonella.
