Marin Pasta Works, based in San Rafael, Calif., is recalling about 490 pounds of pork ravioli products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The sausage, parmesan and spinach ravioli items were produced between Jan. 4 and Feb. 4. The recalled 12-ounce, vacuum-packaged “Sausage, Parm & Spinach Ravioli” have best by dates of Feb. 4 through March 4. Marin Pasta Works distributed the racioli to retail locations in California. The lack of inspections was discovered during FSIS surveillance activities conducted at a retail store in San Rafael, Calif. As of Feb. 5, there were no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the recalled ravioli. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
