Undeclared Soy and Anchovies Prompt Recall

Kermit Inc. of DeLand, Florida is recalling products co-packed for another Deland company, Peddlin’ Rooster, because soy and anchovies were not declared on the labels.  The undeclared allergens are ingredients in Reduced Sodium Worcestershire Sauce and Organic Ketchup that is used in making the following recalled products:

The products are marketed only in clear glass bottles with “Best By” dates of Nov. 1, 2017.  No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.  Purchasers allergic to soy and anchovies as an ingredient in Reduced Sodium Worcestershire Sauce and Organic Ketchup are advised to destroy the products in their possession.  (To sign up for a free subscription to Food Safety News, click here.)
