South Dakota Gov. Larry Rhoden has vetoed a bill that would have banned cell-cultured protein in the state.
In his veto letter, Rhoden said “you won’t catch me eating these products,” but went on to say the bill would have meant that the state’s farmers were departing from fair competition.
