Bills in state legislatures in Michigan and Oklahoma would ease laws on the sale of unpasteurized, raw milk.
The bills fly in the face of advice from local and state public health officials across the country, as well as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The bills pertain to the sale of raw milk within each state. It is against federal law to sell raw, unpasteurized milk across state lines.
