# Peperoncini recalled after consumer finds pest in jar

G. L. Mezzetta Inc. is recalling Mezzetta Golden Greek Peperoncini Medium Heat, 32-ounce because of a consumer complaint about a dead mouse in a jar.

The company has contacted the consumer and is investigating the situation.

As of the posting of the recall on the Food and Drug Administration’s website, the company had not received any reports of illness or injury. Based on the information currently available, the recall applies to the following product and lot information:

- Mezzetta Golden Greek Peperoncini Medium Heat, 32 oz.  
SKU: 10106328  
Lot: 720106

The company has identified the customers that received product from the recalled lot and are working directly with them to isolate and remove the affected product from sale.
