# Lil’ Juan’s and Lucia’s Mexican Style Pork Carnitas recalled in Canada because of wood fragments

The Meat Factory Limited is recalling Lil’ Juan’s and Lucia’s brands of Mexican Style Pork Carnitas because of possible contamination with pieces of wood, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The recall is classified as a Class 3, indicating a low risk of adverse health consequences.

The recalled products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, Canada.

- **Lucia’s Mexican Style Pork Carnitas**

Codes: BB 250424, BB 250425, BB 250702, BB 250706

As of the posting of this recall, no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with these products.

Consumers and retailers are advised not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the affected products. Recalled products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
