# Conway Dressing Recalled for Potential Salmonella Contamination

Conway Import Co. Inc. of Franklin Park, IL, is [recalling](http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm443463.htm?ref=foodsafetynews.com) Conway Organic Sesame Ginger Dressing and Conway Citrus Organic Vinaigrette Dressing because it has the potential to be contaminated with *Salmonella.*

This recall was a result of a recall by Frontier Co-op for a possible health risk from organic garlic powder. The recalled product was distributed in Illinois, Maryland, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Texas through direct deliveries. The products were packed in plastic gallon jars with the manufacturing code printed on the top of the cap and the cardboard shipping container. The recalled products include: Conway Organic Sesame Ginger Dressing Recipe Code N-22 MFG.CODE DATE: 28814….363014….030015….051015 Conway Citrus Organic Vinaigrette Dressing Recipe Code L-18 MFG.CODE DATE: 276014….337014 There have been no illnesses reported to date. Consumers with any questions may contact Conway Import Co. Inc. at (847) 455-5600\. *Salmonella* is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with *Salmonella* often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with *Salmonella* can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (e.g., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
