Ottawa-based Juici Patties is recalling Juici Patties brand Jamaican Style unbaked Chicken Patties sold in Canada due to possible *E. coli* O157:H7 contamination, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The recalled product was sold in 1.6 kg 12-packs with UPC 624819300122 and Product Code 3184\. This recall was triggered by the company. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings. No illnesses have been connected to this product. However, due to the time required to trace an illness back to a specific product, it is impossible to say whether or not any illnesses have occurred. The CFIA recommends that consumers who purchased the recalled product either throw it away or return it to the store where it was purchased.
