Osmat Imports has voluntarily recalled its [Stuffed Eggplants](http://inspection.gc.ca/about-the-cfia/newsroom/food-recalls-and-allergy-alerts/complete-listing/2013-04-10/eng/1365644155813/1365644186450?ref=foodsafetynews.com) due to potential contamination of Clostridium botulinum, the bacteria the causes botulism. The products were sold in 2 kg jars bearing the UPC 8 37770 00009 7 and Best Before: Lot 6 EXP JA 14\. The products were distributed in Alberta and British Columbia. Trophy Foods Inc. has expanded its recall of hazelnuts in shells to include its Trophy brand [Nut Mix in Shell](http://inspection.gc.ca/about-the-cfia/newsroom/food-recalls-and-allergy-alerts/complete-listing/2013-04-10b/eng/1365651957979/1365651990478?ref=foodsafetynews.com#recall-photos) product due to potential contamination of Salmonella. This product has been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and may have been distributed to other provinces.
