Veggie Patch veggie burgers and falafels are being recalled due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have yet been associated with this recall. The recalled product are: – Veggie Patch Ultimate Meatless Burger, UPC 61012900211, 9 oz., sell-by date of January 12, 2013\. – Veggie Patch Falafel Chickpea Balls, UPC 610129066193, 9 oz., sell-by date of January 15, 2013\. The affected products went on sale November 21 in the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Those who has purchased these items are encouraged to discard them or return them to the point of purchase.
