# Spinach Recalled for Possible E. coli

Wegmans stores [are recalling](http://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductRecallDetailView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10002&langId=-1&productId=750760&ref=foodsafetynews.com) two sizes of pre-packaged spinach and mixed greens produced by [State Garden](http://www.stategarden.com/?ref=foodsafetynews.com) due to possible contamination of E. coli O157:H7\. This is a voluntary recall by Wegmans stores out of an abundance of caution, and no recall has been issued by State Garden, a lawyer representing State Garden told **Food Safety News**.

The two products are: – Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Organic Spinach & Spring Mix, 11oz – UPC: 77890-16411 – ONLY product sold between 10/14/12 and 11/1/12\. – Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Organic Spinach & Spring Mix, 5oz – UPC: 77890-16437 – ONLY product sold between 10/14/12 and 11/1/12\. Consumers who purchased these items are asked to discard them or visit their Wegmans’ service desk for a full refund. **Food Safety News** has not learned of any illnesses tied to this recall at this time.
