Price Chopper Supermarkets is voluntarily recalling potato salad sold in its deli section because of a possibility that it may be contaminated with Listeria.

According to a news release issued Tuesday by the company, the “Regular Homestyle Potato Salad’ was sold by the pound in the stores’ delis between Saturday, March 19 and Monday, March 28.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the potato salad. During a routine check at a store in Albany, NY, one container of the deli salad was found to potentially contain Listeria.

Price Chopper has initiated its customer notification service, which uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company’s loyalty card, to alert customers who may have purchased the potato salad.

Customers can return the recalled potato salad to stores for a refund.
