# Marky’s Recalls Under Processed Italian Truffles

Miami-based Optimus Inc., doing business as “Marky’s,” has recalled Eugenio Brezzi Truffle Puree products imported from Italy.

Consumers in possession of any of these products should return it for a full refund to the retail outlet where it was purchased.

Included in the recall are:

\-Winter Black Truffle Puree – Eugenio Brezzi ‐ .9oz/25gr   
‐Winter White Black Truffle Puree – Eugenio Brezzi ‐ .9oz/25gr   
‐Winter White Truffle Puree with Porcini Mushrooms – Eugenio Brezzi ‐ .9oz/25gr

The truffle puree products have been deemed under‐processed due to a defect found in the manufacturing process of the puree. Because of this problem, there is a possibility that the products could be contaminated with microorganisms or other harmful substances.

While no illness have been reported, there is a possible risk for serious adverse health consequences, such as gastrointestinal disease, from consumption of these products.

The truffle puree products were distributed between the period of February 2009 – July 2010 to outlets in the following locations: AR, AK, CA, FL, KY, LA, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NM, NY, NC, RI, TX, TN, and VA.
