California’s VanLaw Food Productsm Inc. has recalled VALU TIME brand Ranch Dressing with code date of Use by APR 21 11.

The back label was mislabeled with VALU TIME Light Ranch Dressing and in particular the label is missing an egg allergen declaration.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this mislabeling.

The Fullerton, CA company is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on this voluntary recall. “Providing safe, high quality products to our consumers is our number one priority,” it said in a statement announcing the recall.

The products were distributed to a limited number of Save Mart/Food Maxx stores located in Northern California.

There are approximately 378.5 cases (2,271 bottles) that may have been purchased by consumers with this particular code date of APR 21 11. The code can be found above the back label on the bottle. No other VALU TIME products and/or code dates are involved in this voluntary recall.

Consumers who have purchased the specific recalled products are advised not to consume them and to return the product to their point of purchase for a refund.
